Teaching fraternity is the back-bone of a higher education system and it becomes imperative for a teacher to upgrade his/her knowledge and competencies on continuous basis through research & development and connect it with the problems of industry and society as a whole. Keeping this in view, Laxmi Institute Of Technology, Sarigam is going to organize a one week faculty development program in Technical advancement in CAE to enhance the skills set of the teaching fraternity. The aim of the FDP is to introduce young teachers and researchers to the latest trends in research and design and also to introduce new research techniques to experienced faculty members.

We are in the era of Information and Communication Technology! Intelligence and ‘always Available’ is the key feature we expect in each machine. Here comes the new era of connected machines, Internet of Things. The aim of this programme is to introduce the participants to the amazing world of IoT and its fascinating applications. IoT is the idea of making devices and objects smarter by linking them to the internet. This technology frontier (IoT) with immense engineering applications is the need for today’s industry and academia. This FDP serves as a platform to train and educate the research scholars, faculty, and people from industry to interact on cuttingedge technologies in this emerging area.

The main objective of this program is to form a bridge between the industry and academic institutions to update their knowledge. To impart the basic concepts and techniques to the budding technical teachers of all the Engineering colleges in India. It is useful to enhance their skills for academic growth and also to make them conducive for research activity in the field of internet of things.

Title : Power System Modeling & Simulation

The increasing complex nature of modern power system makes its operation and control exceedingly difficult. Conventional planning and operating methods can leave power systems exposed to failures. Today’s rapidly changing operating environment requires quick response by the operators in the event of an unexpected change in the system operating configuration. A number of decisions are to be taken both at the operational and at the panning level. Any such decision process must be based on analysis with emphasis on accurate system modeling.
The main objective of this program is

  • 1. To provide basic use of PSCAD Software for engineering scholars.
  • 2. This workshop intends to provide an opportunity for the students/research scholars to understand the PSCAD coding and implementation of various electrical engineering concepts.
  • 3. Continuous improvement in quality of training, bringing new technologies to students/research scholars.

Title : Mobile Application Development Using Android

Android is a new mobile platform. Developments of mobile applications on Android have attracted a lot of attention and interest in research and industry communities. Android is the first free, open source and fully customizable mobile platform. FDP includes how to create Android project and class, how to build simple user interface, how to utilize networking protocols, how to handle events and much more advance concepts of Android.

The proposed STTP is an interdisciplinary program and the main objective of this program is to cover theoretical and practical approach of modeling and optimization techniques arising in real world problems of different fields. The aim of this training program is to bring together researchers of different fields and enhance their knowledge in the field of soft computing techniques.

Field of Industrial Engineering is very much significant for quality and productivity enhancement in the wake of present recessionary period for the industry. New Trends in Industrial Engineering and its associated management philosophies and techniques have tremendous importance under the present science and technology developments.
