Android Applications Development - Beginning:
First Position: Kunj Beladiya, Taksh Dhameliya and Dikshit Dhameliya from Gajera Vidyabhavan (Gujarati Medium), Kattargam for their project Endangered Animal Species.
Second Position: Sujal Golakiya from Gajera International School, Uttran and Aayush Dobariya, Bhargav Kotadiya of Gajera Vidyabhavan (Gujarati Medium), Uttran for their project Country Natural Resources.
Automobile Fundamentals and Era of Electric Vehicles:
First Position: Smit Kadam and Manav Patel from Gajera Global School, Pal for their project F1 Electric Car.
Second Position: Tirth Patel and Mandev Kaswalafrom from S.H Gajera Secondary and Higher Secondary School, Katargam, and Krish Balar from Gajera Vidyabhavan, Uttran for their project Eco Charging Station for Future EV.
The five days workshop on "Android Applications Development", "Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking" and " Automobile fundamentals and Era of Electric Vehicles" came to an end on 14th, Oct, 2019. On 15th Oct, 2019 the winners of the workshops have been felicitated with the certificates and trophies. This occasion was graced by the collector of Valsad District, Shri C. R. Kharsan, Trustees of Gajera Trust- Shri Chunni Bhai Gajera and Ms. Kinjal Gajera, Directors, Principals, Vice Principals, Teachers of Gajera Schools and Parents. The students presented learning outcomes gracefully in front of the audience.
Laxmi Institute of Technology hosted GTUAIU Interzonal Hokey Tournament team selection (Boys and Girls) for the west zone on 14th Oct 2019.
Day 4- Innovation Program (Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security) Students were imparted with the knowledge of different types of security attacks including webcam hacking, SQL injection (website hacking), Man in the middle attack and Bug bounty using Bug site. Students explored and enjoyed the ambiance of the campus capturing the memories.
Day 4- Innovation Program (Android Applications Development - The beginning): Students started experimenting with Scroll view (Horizontal and vertical), Application Logo and Nesting of linear layouts. They made many UI for their own project that is based on Mother Nature. During a small break they enjoyed the elites of campus, took snaps and had fun.
The festival of Navratri is one of the most widely celebrated Hindu festivals. It is celebrated to honor Goddess Durga who symbolizes power and purity.
Laxmi Institute of Technology organized Vocal Song Competition on occasion of 150 years celebrating the Mahatma. Students from both Degree and Diploma Engineering actively took part and among 15 participants 5 were selected for the final round which is going to be held on 3rd Oct 2019.
Department of Applied Science (DE) organized a social visit of all the first-year students to Vatsalyadham, Surat. Vatsalyadham (managed by Gajera Trust) aims to impart quality education, development skills, and provide food and shelter to needy children. Students of LIT had a heartwarming experience with the children of Vatsalyadham.
With a message of "We can change the world with our two hands" the students of BE- Civil and Mechanical under the NIRMAN Group took an initiative towards helping mother earth by planting 200 trees in LVS Campus. Honorable Trustee Ms. Kinjal Gajera planted a tree and encouraged the students to do such events related to sustainability. This was a part of AICTE initiative "One Student One Tree" which is channelized through Unnath Bharat Abhiyan.
An awareness program on "Hazards of Plastics" was organised under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan by Laxmi Institute of Technology at Vadsagal village on 16th September 2019. This is a part of plastic free India campaign initiated by the Prime Minister. Members of Vadsagal Gram Panchayat and Primary Schools, villagers were taught about the disadvantage of single use plastic and the alternative of plastic. Prof. Bhavesh Patel and Prof. Ashish Patel were leading the event.
