Students from the Civil Engineering department had the opportunity to visit the Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) at Sarigam on February 9, 2024, accompanied by the faculty coordinators Mr. Ravi Patel, Mr. Rahul Patel, and Mr. Bhavik Joshi. The Common Effluent Treatment Plant is strategically located near Sarigam GIDC. The primary objective of this visit was to augment our theoretical understanding by gaining practical insights into the components and processes of a CETP, aligning with our academic curriculum.

The workshop was part of Module 1, covering crucial topics such as Python Fundamentals, Anaconda installation, and performing basic operations in Python programming. Php Bootcamp – A short-term training programme

Dept. of CSE & IT organized short-term training programme on Php basics. PHP is an open source server-side scripting language used by many developers for web development. It is also a general-purpose language that you can use to create many projects, including graphical user interfaces (GUIs).
The two-day training programme included the theoretical and practical concepts of php in various web developments. The basics of OOPs and their functional implementation when writing PHP code was also covered in this training.

Today, the students of Dept. of Electrical engineering visited the pioneer of the cable manufacturing industry – RR Kabel (Wires & Cables), Silvassa. The main objective of this industrial visit is to provide students with an insight into the corporate world. The students explored practical real-world perspectives on different functions in organizations such as Production, Operations, Testing, Logistics, etc.

LIT organized a motivational seminar titled, “Ignite The Spark”, as a part of the induction program for the freshers.
The speaker of this seminar was Mr. Chintan D Shah, who himself is a source of motivation to students, has given an encouraging speech. He discussed the importance of positive thinking and attitude which brings optimism into life and such constructive changes can make one brighter and more successful. The session helped the students to get guided by a positive mind and driven by Self-motivation. Students have expressed their problems regarding lack of decision making power and it was resolved by the speaker through some interesting activity. Normally, all civil engineering students are trained to use AutoCAD software.
