About Department

Information Technology deals with the extent of software and Electronic Technology which can be used to transmit, receive, store and process information in digital form. Rapid signs of progress in the area of IT have made it possible to process information at speeds which were thought impossible few years ago.
The department has all the necessary laboratories equipped with the latest configured computer systems with other resources, projectors, and internet access. The department has competent and devoted faculties. The department organizes seminars, guest lectures, workshops etc frequently for students to enhance their knowledge beyond the regular curriculum as per the demands of Information Technology.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - LABORATORY​

Artificial Intelligence​

The Artificial Intelligence is the future of Machines to employe Intelligence is the main motive for this Lab. We conduct AI Lab, Prolog etc.

Algorithm Lab​

The Algorithm lab concern with the Core Development of Algorithms in which reconduct Design & Analysis, Compiler Designing , IS, Data Structure etc.

Web Technology Lab​

Web development is a broad term for the work involved in developing a website for the Internet (World Wide Web) or an intranet (a private network). By using HTML, PHP, Android Studio, Scripting Language, we can develop websites & Mobile Applications. Most recently Web development has come to mean the creation of content management systems or CMS.

Mobile Programming Lab​

In response to move with The new mobile era our mobile programming lab exhibit a vital role. In this Lab we conduct Android, IOS, WML, etc.

Computer Network Lab​

Networking is the backbone of Machine Communication to Learn the basics of Network. we are conducting Network, INS, Data Communication etc.

PLACEMENT DRIVE OF ENJAY IT SOLUTIONS FOR CSE AND IT

18-03-19

Enjay IT Solutions has conducted Campus placements for the Degree IT and CSE students on 18.03.2019, in which around 25 students participated where 10 students were shortlisted for 2 round.

HANDS-ON WORKSHOP ON CYBER SECURITY AND ETHICAL HACKING

Department of IT and CSE have organized a two-day hands-on workshop on Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking in association with FUAI Technologies. On the first day, students had practical experience in cybersecurity.

PLACEMENT DRIVE OF 1RIVET FOR BE-IT, CSE AND ECE

Department of IT and CSE have organized a placement drive of 1Rivet for the students of BE-IT, BE-CSE and BE-ECE.

ANDROID APP DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

Department of Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology collaboratively organized a 3- Day Hands-on Training workshop of Android App Development from August 30, 2018- September 1, 2018. Mr. Dharmesh Valjibhai Makwana Senior Developer from Survivor Infotech, Valsad having a vast experience in App and Web development shared his skill and time for the students of LIT. In the course time of 3 days, He has started with the basics of Android Studio, Its material design alerts to complex designing, offline storage, and online storage. The Workshop was highly appreciated by all the participants and at the end of three days, participants were able to create their own simple Android App.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO VSSE (ISRO)

Students of CSE & IT visited Vikram Sarabhai Space Exhibition at Space Applications Centre (VVSE, ISRO) on March 28, 2018. In the first session, the students witnessed 3D Videos related to space station operated by NASA and moon mission by ISRO. In the second session, Dr. J. D. Joshi explained how rocket and satellite work and also explained past and upcoming projects of ISRO. He also explained functioning of satellite and different phases of GSLV MK III with the help of working models.

INDUSTRY VISIT TO BISAG

Students of CSE & IT visited Bhaskaracharya Institute For Space Applications And Geo-Informatics (BISAG) on March 27, 2018. The students had an opportunity to visit Video Audio Network for Development and Education (VANDE) -Gujarat studio, Earth Station and Antenna which is used to transmit signals to satellite during the first session of the visit. The second session was an interactive learning session on Geo-Informatics that included how the image of whole earth is captured and the information is extracted from it.

ELOCUTION CONTEST ON “HEALTH AND HYGIENE IS THE REAL WEALTH”

An Elocution Contest on “Health and Hygiene is the real wealth” as part of SWACCHTA PAKHWADA – 2017 is organized by Department of Information Technology – Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam for students of Degree and Diploma on 14th September 2017.
SWACCHTA PAKHWADA is an occasion to pledge the support of the higher educational institution for spreading the message of cleanliness not only among the students but also in the surrounding areas. Higher Educational Institutions have a crucial role in shaping the public view about cleanliness (Swacchta). Hence MHRD desires that all the higher educational institutions participate in this program.
Many students from Degree and Diploma participated in this. The Winner of this Contest is Rebeiro Fredric Christopher from Diploma 3rd Semester Mechanical Department. Runners up are Arvind Ram Singh from BE 1st Semester Computer Science & Engineering and Pankaj Manojkumar Varma from 1st Semester Civil Engineering.

AN EXPERT LECTURE ON KOTLIN LANGUAGE

Department of Information Technology had organized an Expert Lecture on KOTLIN LANGUAGE. Lecture was conducted by Mr. Ankit Shodha from TOPS Technologies.

JOURNEY OF SMART INDIA HACKATHON- 2017

Team Alpha-One from Department of Information Technology (6th Semester) was selected for the Grand Finale and their problem statement belongs to Ministry of Railways.
The Finale was held at 26 locations where Udaipur has been chosen for discussion for ministry of Railways.

Held 3 days hands on workshop on “ANDROID APP DEVELOPMENT”. During this workshop our students got the knowledge about how to develop android application, how it is working & all. They have also created Android app.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT AT KAKRAPAR ATOMIC POWER STATION, VYARA.​

Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam organized an industrial visit on 12th October, 2016 at Kakrapar Atomic Power Station, Vyara. The trip was organized for 3rd semester CSE & IT students in view to visualize the real time networking in public sectors. 54 students along with 6 faculties visited the power plant.

SEMINAR ON RECENT TRENDS IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK​

The seminar was organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Department of Information Technology of Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam on 8th September, 2016 for the final year students. The speaker for the Seminar was Mr. Nandlal Dhandhukia, Head of Electronics & Communication Department at Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam.

Mr. Nandlal Dhandhukia has started the seminar by a brainstorming exercise for the students. He explained the students why to go wireless?. Sir also explained the difference between wireless and cellular communication. They focused on the frequency spectrum and explained it in detail. And also described the various Telecom frequency bands used in India.

DIGITAL INDIA WEEK​

Laxmi Institute of Technology, Laxmi Vidhyapeeth, Sarigam had celebrated inauguration ceremony of “Digital India Week” on July 2, 2015. Digital India, a flagship programme of Government of India aims to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.
