Entrepreneurship Cell

Introduction

The National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India initiated a scheme to establish Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) in academic institutions to develop institutional mechanism for the purpose of inculcating the entrepreneurial culture and fostering technoentrepreneurship among Science & Technology persons.

Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam has also committed to impart quality education in engineering & technology and preparing the engineering students to meet the growing challenges of the industry by nurturing entrepreneurship. In order to meet the challenges of industry & social need of our nation, LIT has been motivating the students’ community towards entrepreneurship by conducting awareness programs.

Purpose

On that basis, a full-fledged BCC was established in Laxmi Institute of Technology in July 2017 under the aegis of Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), Govt. of Gujarat.

The main objective of this cell is to make the aspiring engineers acquainted with the conceptual as well as practical knowledge in tune with Industrial requirement & latest technologies. The Major Functions of the cell are,

  • Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EACs)
  • Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDPs)
  • Faculty Development Programs on Entrepreneurship (FDPs)
  • Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Programs (ESDPs)
  • Technology Entrepreneurship Development Programs (TEDPs)
  • Entrepreneurship Conference
