On February 20, 2024, the LIT Standard Club successfully conducted an Orientation Session in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Surat. The event aimed to introduce students and staff to the club’s objectives and standards, fostering a culture of excellence in education.
Collaboration with BIS, Surat:
The collaboration with BIS, Surat, was a pivotal aspect of the event, signifying a commitment to upholding and promoting educational standards. This partnership aims to create an environment where quality benchmarks are prioritized in academic pursuits.
Participation Statistics:
The session witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 150+ students and 30 staff members actively participating. The diverse audience contributed to a vibrant and engaging atmosphere throughout the event.
Speakers:
Ms. Bhavisha Rohit: Ms. Rohit, a dedicated Standard Promotion Consultant at the BIS office in Surat, shared her extensive 13 years of experience in social work. Her impactful contributions to various State Government schemes, including the Swachh Bharat Mission, DRDA initiatives, Vaniki Vikash Pariyojana, and the 104 Health Helpline, left a lasting impression on the audience.
Ms. Swati Ajitbhai Parekh: Ms. Parekh, currently serving as a Graduation Engineer at BIS, brought a wealth of knowledge with an Mtech in Environmental Engineering. Her academic journey, adorned with accolades, reflected a profound commitment to understanding and safeguarding our ecological balance.
Standard Writing Competition:
A notable highlight of the day was the Standard Writing Competition, where students demonstrated their on-the-spot creativity and knowledge by writing and developing standards. This competition not only added an element of fun but also served as an intellectually rewarding exercise. Congratulations to the winners who received well-deserved prizes.
