FINAL ROUND OF STUDENT OF THE YEAR CONTEST

The excitement continues at Laxmi Institute of Technology as Round 3: Personal Interview of the Student of the Year contest was successfully conducted on 1st April, 2026.
This round provided a platform for participants to showcase their personality, confidence, clarity of thought, and overall aptitude through one-on-one interactions. Each student demonstrated remarkable presence of mind and communication skills, making the competition even more intense and inspiring.
The round was smoothly organized by Coordinator, Prof. Darpan Bulsara, along with Prof. Vasudha Badmera, whose dedicated efforts ensured a professional and engaging experience for all participants.

IELTS & STUDY ABROAD EDUCATION SEMINAR

LIT has successfully conducted IELTS & Study Abroad Education Seminar on 23 March, 2026.
It was a great session where students received valuable guidance on IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, overseas admissions, visa process, and study opportunities abroad from NITS overseas, Vapi.
A small IELTS practice workshop was also conducted during the seminar, giving students practical exposure and a better understanding of the exam pattern.
The seminar was filled with learning, interaction, and useful insights for students planning their international education journey.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Anjana R, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SURAT INTERNATIONAL AUTO EXPO 2026

Students and staffs from the Department of Mechanical & Automobile Engineering (Degree and Diploma) visited the 7th Edition of the Surat International Auto Expo 2026 held at SIECC, Sarsana, Surat today.
The expo, organized by SGCCI, showcased the latest innovations in the automobile industry, including 4-wheelers, 2-wheelers, electric vehicles (EVs), commercial vehicles, and advanced auto components from leading global brands.
During the visit, students explored new vehicle models, EV technologies, futuristic mobility solutions, and modern automotive accessories, gaining valuable insights into the rapidly evolving automotive sector. The experience helped students understand current industry trends and technological advancements shaping the future of mobility.
Such visits provide students with industry exposure, technological awareness, and practical insights, complementing their academic learning.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO ATUL POWER SUBSTATION

Students of Diploma Electrical Engineering from Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam organized an insightful industrial visit to the 220 kV Atul Power Substation on 5th March 2026 as part of their academic curriculum.
During the visit, students gained valuable exposure to real-time power system operations and substation infrastructure. They observed key components such as power transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, switchgear, protection relays, control panels, and transmission equipment.
The technical team at the substation provided detailed explanations about the working principles, safety practices, and operation & maintenance procedures followed in high-voltage power systems. This interaction helped students bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, offering a clearer understanding of how electricity is transmitted and managed in large-scale power networks.
Such industrial visits significantly enhance technical knowledge, practical understanding, and industry awareness, preparing students for future careers in the electrical power sector.

EXPERT TALK ON SAFE AND TRUSTED AI IN EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam successfully conducted a two-day Expert Talk on “Safe & Trusted AI in Education Institutions” on 9th & 10th February 2026, aimed at empowering faculty members with ethical, practical, and future-ready AI skills.
Day 1 featured insightful sessions by Dr. Priyanka Datta and Prof. Pinal K. Mistry, focusing on demystifying AI in education, its role in teaching, learning, administration, and live demonstrations of emerging AI tools.
Day 2 was led by Prof. S. Kannan, who elaborated on AI-powered academic excellence, including AI as a teaching assistant, CO-PO mapping, Bloom’s taxonomy, AI-generated content, and automated assessments.
The program concluded with inspiring remarks by Dr. Basavaraj Patil, Director – LIT Sarigam, highlighting the importance of adopting AI responsibly in higher education. A total of 65 faculty members actively participated in this Faculty Development Program, making the sessions highly interactive and impactful. The event was successfully organized by Dr. Priyanka Datta, contributing significantly to enhancing AI awareness and responsible adoption among educators.

AWARENESS SEMINAR ON ENERGY CONSERVATION

The Department of Electrical Engineering successfully organized an Awareness Seminar on Energy Conservation in association with GEDA. The session was delivered by Dr. Amarpal R. Kanojiya, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Parul University, a distinguished academician and field expert with over 20 years of experience in renewable energy and energy conservation.
Dr. Kanojiya shared his rich practical experience in solar PV systems, biogas plants, energy-efficient electrical systems, and GEDA-sponsored projects such as the 5 MW Solar Power Park at Halol, large-scale institutional biogas plants, and integrated solar-biogas systems. He has also trained 1500+ students as Surya Mitra and conducted energy audits for over 200 industries and institutions, along with 100+ energy awareness workshops across Gujarat.
Session 1 focused on practical energy-saving techniques, best practices to reduce electricity bills, government schemes for agriculture, EV subsidies, and the complete solar panel installation process.
Session 2 covered energy auditing, understanding and analyzing electricity bills, and identifying opportunities for energy optimization.
The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation of 65 students and 15 faculty members, making the program highly interactive and impactful. The event successfully enhanced awareness about sustainable energy practices and real-world applications of energy conservation.

ADVANCED WORKSHOP ON DGPS APPLICATIONS IN SURVEYING

The Department of Civil Engineering successfully conducted an Advanced Workshop on DGPS Applications in Surveying, providing valuable practical exposure to modern surveying techniques for civil engineering students.
The workshop was expertly conducted by Mr. Manish Ganvit,
ITI Surveyor | Licensed Surveyor | Land Surveyor, Valsad District Land Record Department, who shared in-depth knowledge and real-world insights from professional surveying practices.
Survey Instrument Used: DGPS (Differential GPS)
Key Learning Outcomes:

✔ Practical applications of DGPS in land records and infrastructure projects

FOUNDERS TALK BY STARTUP VAPI

LIT students and staff had the wonderful opportunity to attend an exclusive Founders Talk presented by Startup Vapi, featuring Mr. Yash Tarwadi, CEO & Founder of Solnce Energy Private Limited.
 
Held on 5th December, the session titled “Journey from Startup to Shark Tank India” offered invaluable insights into how an idea can be transformed into a successful startup and showcased on a national platform like Shark Tank India. The audience gained practical knowledge about entrepreneurship, innovation, challenges in the startup ecosystem, and the mindset needed to scale a business.

CAMPUS PLACEMENT DRIVE OF EUROCOUSTIC PRODUCTS LIMITED, DAMAN

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO AB ROLLING MILLS PVT. LTD., MANDA

On 2 December 2025, 100 of our enthusiastic first-year students from CSE, IT, Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, and Civil engineering departments stepped out of the classroom to witness real-world engineering in action.

Organized in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the visit gave our students a deep dive into the manufacturing of non-stick and stainless-steel kitchenware. The students explored: 

  1. The complete production workflow. 
  2. Stringent quality standards. 
  3. Modern industrial safety practices.

EXPERT LECTURE ON “UNLEASHING THE POWER OF AGENTIC AI”

Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam, in collaboration with CSRBOX under the IBM SkillsBuild initiative, successfully organized an insightful expert session on Agentic AI.

The event began with an exclusive faculty session, providing hands-on exposure to the IBM SkillsBuild learning platform and the latest advancements in Agentic AI.

This was followed by a student session, where learners gained valuable insights into real-world AI applications, interacted with the expert trainer, and explored the potential of Agentic AI in transforming industries.

The sessions empowered both faculty and students with future-ready AI skills and a deeper understanding of emerging technologies.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO INDUSTRIAL BOILERS PVT. LTD. (IBL), VAPI

A team of 35 students, accompanied by Mr. Gaurav Patel, Mr. Hemant Patel, Mr. Deven Patel, and Mr. Bhavesh Patel, visited Industrial Boilers Pvt. Ltd. (IBL), one of India’s leading boiler manufacturers with a rich legacy dating back to the 1860s.
During the visit, students explored:
Boiler design & engineering practices (CAD, FEA, thermal stress analysis)
Fabrication processes – cutting, bending, welding & assembly of boiler components
Quality testing – hydrostatic tests, NDT, metallurgical analysis
Auxiliary systems – feedwater, instrumentation, pollution control units (ESP, scrubbers, bag filters)
R&D innovations – multi-fuel combustion, waste heat recovery & efficiency improvement
The visit provided practical exposure to the application of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and materials science in real-world boiler manufacturing. Students gained valuable insights into safety standards, quality control, and emerging innovations in the thermal & energy sector.

“Build Your First Chatbot” organized by Laxmi Institute of Technology in collaboration with CSRBOX and IBM SkillsBuild, held on 18th September 2025 via webinar mode.
With Mr. Kartik Hooda (CSRBOX & IBM SkillsBuild Expert) as the resource person, the session brought together 80+ enthusiastic participants across disciplines.
Students explored:
– Building and deploying their first chatbot
– Understanding dialog flows & AI logic
– Exploring real-world applications of chatbots

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO EVEREST FOOD PRODUCTS PVT. LTD., UMARGAM

Students of the Department of Electrical Engineering visited Everest Food Products Pvt. Ltd., India’s No. 1 spice brand with a legacy of over 58 years. The visit gave them valuable exposure to industrial electrical systems, automation, and safety practices in a large-scale FMCG manufacturing environment.
During the tour, students observed how modern electrical infrastructure supports high-capacity operations in food processing, packaging, and storage. They also gained insights into energy efficiency, process automation, and quality compliance.
Everest, India’s most trusted spice brand, offers pure spices, regional and pan-Indian blends, along with innovative products like Eazy Chef and Tasteeto. This visit helped bridge academic knowledge with real-world industrial practices, enriching students’ understanding of electrical engineering applications in the FMCG sector.

FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ON ITR FILING SIMPLIFIED 2025

GTU ONLINE ORIENTATION PROGRAM 2025

On 7th August 2025, the newly admitted students and faculty members of Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam participated in the GTU Online Orientation Program, organized by Gujarat Technological University.
The session aimed to welcome freshers into the GTU academic community and provide them with a comprehensive understanding of the university’s vision, academic environment, support services, NEP-2020 initiatives, and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework.
The program inspired students to begin their higher education journey with motivation, clarity, and a sense of belonging. Faculty members also gained valuable insights into university-level initiatives and student engagement strategies.
The orientation created a strong foundation for the students’ academic journey, making them aware of the opportunities, expectations, and transformations awaiting them at GTU. We thank GTU for organizing such an enriching and motivating session for our first-year students and faculty.

We were delighted to host Tecknotrove Systems, Asia’s largest manufacturer of training simulators and simulation solutions, for a campus placement drive on 5th August, 2025.
With a remarkable presence in 28 countries and a legacy of over 1,000 successful projects, Tecknotrove has been at the forefront of innovation in immersive technologies—ranging from Virtual and Augmented Reality to Gamified Learning. The company serves a wide range of industries including automotive, aviation, defense, mining, logistics, and more.
The placement interviews were conducted for the role of Software Developer under the CSE-IT Department. The students got a unique opportunity to engage with a company that is revolutionizing training through cutting-edge simulation technologies.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO BALAJI WAFERS PVT. LTD., VALSAD

As a part of the academic curriculum, 80+ enthusiastic first-year degree students from Laxmi Institute of Technology (LIT), accompanied by faculty members Dr. Hiral Desai, Mr. Ketan Vyas, Mr. Rahul Jadav, Mr. Mohnish Pavaskar, and Ms. Khyati V. Rohit, visited Balaji Wafers Pvt. Ltd., Valsad.
This educational tour offered students a firsthand glimpse into the highly automated manufacturing process of one of India’s most iconic snack brands. From raw material handling to packaging, students observed each stage of production and understood the scale and efficiency behind Balaji’s success.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SWATI SPENTOSE PVT. LTD., VAPI

Students from the Mechanical and Automobile Engineering Departments (Degree & Diploma) of Laxmi Institute of Technology had the opportunity to visit Swati Spentose Pvt. Ltd., a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company, to gain practical exposure to industrial processes. 
A total of 81 students participated in the visit, accompanied by 6 dedicated faculty members. The visit was excellently coordinated by Mr. Parikshit Patel (HoD – Mech & Automobile Degreel), Mr. Hemant Patel (HoD – Mechanical Diploma), and Mr. Rakesh Chotalia (HoD – Automobile Diploma), along with faculty members Mr. Bhavesh Patel, Mr. Kaushik Panara, and Mr. Rakesh Mahanto. During the visit, students explored:

On 24th July, we had the pleasure of welcoming the first-year Diploma students and their proud parents to Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam as part of the Induction Program 2025. It was a day full of warmth, introductions, and excitement as students took their first step into the world of technical education.
Parents and students were given a tour of our campus, including visits to the well-equipped laboratories, the resource-rich library, and other key infrastructures that form the foundation of our academic ecosystem.
The session began with an inspiring address by our respected Director, Dr. Basavaraj Patil, followed by a heartfelt welcome by our respected Principal, Prof. Amrat Patel.
Prof. Harshila Patel, Head of the General Department (Diploma), shared important details about enrollment procedures, scholarships, the GTU student portal, and wished the students great success. After the session, students and parents were served tea and snacks, providing an opportunity for informal interaction and bonding.
The event was smoothly anchored by Prof. Vasudha Badmera and her dedicated team, ensuring a memorable start to this new journey.

B.E. INDUCTION PROGRAM 2025

LIT hosted the Induction Program 2025 for the first-year B.E. students at Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam. Students and parents were warmly welcomed to our campus and introduced to the vibrant academic environment we offer.
The session was graced by our respected Director, Dr. Basavaraj Patil, who delivered an inspiring welcome address, encouraging students to dream big and make the most of their college life.
Valuable insights about enrollment procedures, scholarships, and the GTU student portal were shared by Prof. Gaurav Gandhi and Prof. Aurangzeb Shaikh, helping students and parents understand the academic processes ahead.
Dr. Hiral Desai, Head of General Department, extended best wishes to the students for their future journey.
The entire program was beautifully anchored and smoothly coordinated by Prof. Vasudha Badmera and her dedicated team.
Following the session, students and parents were taken on a guided tour of our labs, library, and campus infrastructure. Over the coming days, students will participate in various orientation activities as per GTU guidelines.
