SPORTS MEET 2025

The much-awaited LIT Sports Week 2025 began with a grand inauguration ceremony.
Dr. Basavaraj Patil, IT Director, delivered an inspiring welcome speech, igniting the enthusiasm of participants and spectators alike. Following this, Principal Prof. Amrat Patel joined him in felicitating the esteemed Chief Guest.
The Relay Run and Flaming Mashal ceremony symbolized the true spirit of sportsmanship, leading to an inspiring inaugural match by visually impaired students from the Blind School—a moment of resilience, determination, and passion that left everyone in awe. 
All participants then took the Oath, pledging to uphold integrity and fair play throughout the tournament. To commemorate the occasion, a tree plantation drive was carried out by all the distinguished guests, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.

ECHO TALK 2025

LIT is delighted to share the highlights of Echo Talk, where students showcased their talents and experiences in an engaging session! 
1. Jagdish Prajapati (6th Sem, IT Degree) shared his inspiring journey in the Anveshana Competition
2. Rudra Patel (4th Sem, Diploma Auto) mesmerized the audience with a spectacular dance performance
3. Mahyavanshi (8th Sem, Mech Degree) delivered an insightful talk on “From Classroom to Workplace: How to Ace Your Internship”
With 100+ enthusiastic participants, the event was a huge success! A big shoutout to Coordinator Prof. Ankita Rachh and the Echo Talk team for their seamless execution. 

SAVE ENERGY CAMPAIGN 2025

Save Energy Campaign was successfully conducted at LIT Seminar Hall, emphasizing the importance of energy conservation for a sustainable future. 
The event, organized by NSS Coordinator Prof. Kaushik Panara and his dedicated team of volunteers, was a great initiative to spread awareness. Volunteers visited each classroom, interacted with students, and placed ‘Save Energy’ stickers to remind everyone about responsible energy usage.
Prof. S. Kannan, HOD, along with Prof. Biraja P. Das from the Electrical Engineering Department, shared insightful thoughts on the major impact of energy conservation on the country’s growth and provided simple yet effective tips to save energy at home.

TRAFFIC EDUCATIONAL AND ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS PROGRAM 2025

On 29 January, Dhwani Auditorium was abuzz with energy as we successfully hosted the National Road Safety Awareness & Educational Program. We were honored to have Mr. Devendra A. Patel, RTO Inspector, RTO Valsad, lead an insightful session on Traffic Education and Road Safety Awareness. His expertise and engaging presentation captivated the audience as he shared essential knowledge on: Understanding Road Safety Regulations, Traffic Signs & Defensive Driving Techniques, Pedestrian Safety & Accident Prevention
The session began with a motivating address by Dr. Basavaraj Patil, Director, LIT, setting the tone for the event. The distinguished guests were felicitated by Director & Principal, Prof. Amrat Patel. The program was skillfully anchored by Ms. Vasudha Badmera, adding grace and flow to the event.
A big shoutout to Coordinator Mr. Kaushik Panara and the dedicated volunteers of the NSS unit, LIT, for their exceptional efforts in organizing and managing the event. 

REPUBLIC DAY 2025

LVS came together as one family at Laxmi Vidyapeeth to celebrate the 76th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event began with the unfurling of the National Flag, filling the air with pride and patriotism. The celebration featured vibrant performances by our talented students, including captivating dances and soul-stirring group songs, all dedicated to our nation. These performances highlighted the spirit of unity and showcased the immense talent and enthusiasm of our students.

Dr. Basavaraj Patil, Director of Laxmi Institute of Technology, delivered an inspiring Republic Day special speech, emphasizing the values enshrined in our Constitution and the responsibilities we carry as citizens of this great nation.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. Kaustubh Arekar, Head of Laxmi Global School, expressing gratitude to everyone who made the event successful. The event was graced by the presence of all institute heads, faculty members, staff, and workers of Laxmi Vidyapeeth, along with our energetic students, coming together to celebrate the spirit of unity and democracy.

KITE FESTIVAL CELEBRATION 2025

LIT celebrated the vibrant Kite Festival on campus, marking the joyous occasion of Makar Sankranti and Uttrayan, which will be celebrated all over Gujarat tomorrow. 
Students brought a spectacular array of colorful kites, filling the sky with beauty and enthusiasm. After an exhilarating day of kite flying, the Best Decorated Kite and Highest-Flying Kite were chosen and awarded. 
The event was wonderfully organized by Prof. Kaushik Panara, our NSS Coordinator, along with the dedicated NSS volunteer team. Director Dr. Basavaraj Patil graced the occasion, wished all the participants, and distributed certificates to the winners.

VEER BAAL DIWAS MOVIE SCREENING

LIT showcased a heartfelt movie commemorating the supreme sacrifice of Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the youngest martyrs in Sikh history. Their unwavering faith and courage at the tender ages of 8 and 5 inspired every heart present.

The event was graced by Dr. Basavaraj Patil, Director, who delivered an inspiring speech on the significance of Veer Baal Diwas and the enduring legacy of the Sahibzades. The program was beautifully coordinated by Prof. Kaushik Panara, NSS Unit, along with the dedicated efforts of the NSS volunteers.

Students and faculty alike participated with great enthusiasm and patriotism, making the day a memorable tribute to these hallowed martyrs.

ECHO TECH 2024

LIT hosted EchoTech, an exhilarating competition showcasing the brilliance of Science, Technology, and Innovation! More than 50 teams from schools across South Gujarat participated, presenting groundbreaking ideas and projects in various categories: Science Projects, Working Models, Coding Excellence.
The event was inaugurated at 10:30 AM with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the beginning of an exciting day filled with creativity and innovation.
The grand valedictory ceremony of EchoTech 2024 marked the conclusion of a day filled with creativity and innovation. 
1st Prize: Gyan Ganga English Medium High School, Vapi – ₹10,000 cash prize
2nd Prize: Ajitnagar Pra. Shala, Vapi – ₹5,000 cash prize
3rd Prize: Gajera International School, Utran – ₹3,000 cash prize
In addition to the top honors, several teams were acknowledged with special certificates for their exceptional projects in various categories, and all participants received appreciation certificates for their enthusiastic efforts. 

DE GHUMAKE SEASON-3

We proudly inaugurated De Ghumake – Season 3, with participation from over 30 schools across South Gujarat, making it a grand event for young cricket enthusiasts under 19 to showcase their talent on the field.
The inauguration was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Bhavesh P. Baria, a professional cricketer from Nargol who plays for the Gujarat team. Mr. Baria made his first-class debut in the 2012–13 Ranji Trophy, representing Gujarat against Hyderabad on December 1, 2012. 

GRAND FINALE: The cricketing extravaganza concluded with an electrifying final match between NB Mehta College, Bordi and Gokhale Education Society’s P.G. Jr. College, Bordi. After a thrilling contest, NB Mehta College, Bordi emerged victorious, claiming the championship trophy along with a cash prize of ₹25,000! Gokhale Education Society’s P.G. Jr. College, Bordi secured the runner-up position and received a trophy along with a cash prize of ₹15,000. The grand finale was graced by the presence of our Honourable Trustee of Smt. Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Charitable Trust, Surat, 

NSS-LIT CLEANLINESS DRIVE 2024: DUSTBIN DONATION & AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

The NSS unit of Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam made strides towards a cleaner community! Our volunteers visited the road from Sarigam to the LVS campus, where they placed dustbins, cleared litter, and spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness among local residents.
Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, and the cooperation of the village Sarpanch, the area now looks remarkably clean and welcoming. 
The campaign was guided by Dr. Basavaraj Patil, Director of LIT Sarigam, and led by NSS Coordinator Prof. Kaushik Panara with the involvement of Prof. Ketan Vyas, Prof. Biraja Das, and Prof. Rahul Jadav. A heartfelt thanks to everyone for their dedication and teamwork in making this campaign a success!
 

TALENT SHOW 2024

The day kicked off with a Lamp Lighting Ceremony at 9:30 AM, followed by a special felicitation of our esteemed guests: Ms. Shaili Sancheti, Ms. Vidushi Badmera & Ms. Jahanvi Desai.
 Our Director, Dr. Basavaraj Patil sir’s inspiring speech reminded us that everyone has unique talents. The panel of judges carefully evaluated each performance, and we proudly announce the winners:
First Place: Rishi Uday Patel (Mechanical Engg – Sem 5)
Second Place (Duo): Mohammad Rehan and Shubham Agrawal (CSE – Sem 3)

PLANT A SMILE CAMPAIGN

As part of the ongoing campaign “Plant a Smile,” initiated by Sunita Maker’s Space in collaboration with Gajera Trust, Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam proudly participated in a tree sapling donation drive at schools across Valsad district. 

Our NSS volunteers, along with faculty members Prof. Parikshit Patel, Prof. Devan Patel, and Prof. Shubham Ahir, visited schools like Shri Swaminarayan High School in Abrama, BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir in Valsad, KUSUM Vidyalaya, Kalyani Shala, Atul, and more. Together, they distributed saplings, planted trees, and engaged with school principals and students to raise awareness about the importance of tree plantation and environmental conservation.

Three talented students took the stage, delivering insightful speeches on a range of fascinating topics, sparking thoughtful discussions and inspiring their peers. To add to the excitement, we also had a mesmerizing dance performance that captured the audience’s attention! A special thanks to our esteemed Director, Dr. Basavaraj Patil, who graced the event with his presence.

SWACHHATA HI SEVA 2024: CLEANLINESS CAMPAIGN

As part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 campaign, which is taking place across the country from 17th September to 2nd October, the dedicated volunteers of the NSS Unit from Laxmi Institute of Technology joined hands for a meaningful mission today. Our team visited Nargol Beach, Umargam, and took active steps in cleaning the beach, removing littered garbage, and promoting the importance of a cleaner, greener environment. Through their hard work and commitment, the volunteers not only contributed to the beautification of our natural surroundings but also spread awareness on the significance of cleanliness in our daily lives.

ENGINEERS’ DAY CELEBRATION 2024

On 13th September, LIT proudly celebrated Engineers’ Day in honor of the legendary Sir M. Visvesvaraya, Bharat Ratna awardee and a pioneer in engineering. The day was packed with insightful activities organized by our talented diploma engineering students. The highlights included exciting Quiz Competitions, which tested and expanded everyone’s knowledge, and Awareness Sessions on future trends in automobile, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering. These sessions were led by our esteemed Heads of Departments, Principal, and dedicated faculty members, inspiring all to think forward and innovate.

Freshers’ Day 2024 at LIT kicked off with Dr. Karanraj Vaghela, IPS, inspiring students with his journey of dedication and self-growth. Dr. Basavaraj Patil welcomed over 500 freshers with a heartfelt speech, followed by a lively start with lamp lighting and felicitation. The day was packed with vibrant dance performances, skits, and the exciting Mr. & Ms. Fresher competitions with surprise gifts for the winners. The grand finale featured “Satrangi Re” stars Raj Baasira and Katha Patel, who delighted students with their presence and photo sessions.

TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION 2024

We had the immense pleasure of honoring our incredible educators at the Teachers’ Day celebration here at LIT. It was an inspiring day filled with wisdom, gratitude, and beautiful performances. Dr. Basavaraj Patil delivered a profound special address, reflecting on the vital role of teachers in our lives. He emphasized how technology serves as a modern-day mentor, complementing the timeless guidance of our Gurus. Prof. Amrat Patel, Principal shared his heartfelt thoughts on the significance of being a teacher and the dedication it requires. The celebration was enriched by the musical talents of our faculty members. Prof. Shivang Patel and Prof. Ravi Patel kicked off the performances with their soulful singing, followed by a delightful rendition by Prof. Dharmistha.

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION 2024

LIT had a wonderful time celebrating the divine festival of Janmashtami on our campus! The day was filled with devotion, joy, and vibrant cultural activities. Our students and faculty came together to perform soulful Bhajans and Kirtans, filling the auditorium with the spirit of devotion and reverence for Lord Krishna. Following the Bhajans, we held a heartfelt Arati, where everyone joined in offering prayers and seeking blessings. The celebration reached its peak with the Dahi Handi event near the Volleyball Ground. The excitement and energy were palpable as teams worked together to break the Handi, showcasing their strength and teamwork.

BLOOD DONATION CAMP 2024

On 21 August, the National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam, proudly organized a Blood Donation Camp on the Laxmi Vidyapeeth campus. This impactful event, held in collaboration with Valsad Raktdan Kendra and Atul Rural Development Fund, was a resounding success thanks to the meticulous planning and support from our partners. The camp saw an incredible turnout of students and staff members, all united by their enthusiasm to contribute to this vital cause. Their collective effort will undoubtedly save lives and make a lasting difference in our community.

The spirit of patriotism was in full bloom at the Laxmi Vidyapeeth campus as we celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. Respected police officers from Bhilad graced the occasion and honored us by hoisting the national flag, which made us feel proud of and reverent of our nation.

Our talented students made the event truly memorable by performing a series of inspiring patriotic songs and dances, reminding us all of the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the unity that binds us as a nation. Their performances were a testament to the vibrant spirit of India, showcasing the diverse culture and rich heritage that we proudly uphold.

TIRANGA YATRA 2024

The vibrant energy of our students filled the streets of Umargam as they proudly participated in the “Tiranga Yatra.” With the Tricolor held high and hearts full of pride, our students chanted patriotic messages, embodying the spirit of unity and love for our nation.

The rally was a powerful reminder of the values that bind us as Indians and the honor we carry for our national flag.
