The much-awaited Sports Meet at LIT commenced with great enthusiasm and vibrant energy. The program began with a warm welcome address by Dr. Basavaraj Patil, Director, LIT, who encouraged students to actively participate and uphold the true spirit of sports. We were privileged to have Honorable Trustee Shri Vasantbhai Gajera, grace the occasion. His motivating words inspired students to prioritize fitness and maintain good health alongside academic excellence. As a token of gratitude, Student Coordinator Mr. Krish Ahir felicitated the trustee with a shawl. Adding a personal touch to the ceremony, student Mr. Prajapati Amankumar presented a beautiful portrait sketch to the respected trustee. The ceremonial Mashal Lighting marked the official commencement of the Sports Meet, symbolizing passion, determination, and unity. The oath-taking ceremony was led by Mr. Jheel Parmar, where all participants pledged to compete with integrity, fairness, and true sportsmanship.

Laxmi Institute of Technology, Laxmi Vidyapeeth, Sarigam, proudly hosted the GTU Cricket Tournament 2026 – Zone-5, a week-long tournament that saw more than 20 GTU-affiliated teams competing with exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Laxmi Vidyapeeth (LVS), Sarigam, proudly hosted ECHOTECH 2026, a premier competition of Science, Technology & Innovation, expertly coordinated by the Laxmi Institute of Technology (LIT). 
The event was inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Mr. Sanjay Kotak (Entrepreneur & Chairperson – Mentor Hours, Start-up Vapi) and Mr. Thomas Sebastian (Civil Engineering Expert, Sat Crown India), in the esteemed presence of Dr. Basavaraj Patil, Director of LIT, along with the heads of the LVS campus. A dedicated jury panel of 12 evaluators, supported by the expert jurors, assessed the projects based on technical merit, innovation, and practical relevance.
Prize Distribution Ceremony was held at Dhwani Auditorium, graced by Shri Darasingbhai Vasava, District Primary Education Officer (DPEO), Valsad District, as the Chief Guest, whose inspiring address motivated students to pursue excellence in science and technology.

POSTER MAKING COMPETITION – ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS

As a part of the Road Safety & Driving Licence Awareness Program, Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam successfully organized a Poster Making Competition on 27 January 2026, witnessing enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. More than 300 students actively took part in the overall program.
Theme: “Road Safety: It’s in Your Hands”
The awareness seminar and poster competition were addressed by Devendra A. Patel, Inspector, RTO Valsad, and A. D. Patel, Inspector, RTO Valsad, who interacted with students and strengthened the awareness initiative.

ROAD SAFETY AND DRIVING LICENCE AWARENESS SEMINAR

The NSS Unit – LIT successfully organized the Road Safety and Driving Licence Awareness Seminar on 27 January 2026 at Dhwani Auditorium, with the objective of spreading awareness about traffic rules, responsible driving, and driving licence procedures.
The seminar was conducted by Devendra A. Patel, Inspector, RTO Valsad, who shared valuable insights on road safety, legal responsibilities of drivers, and the importance of disciplined driving practices.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and effectively emphasized the role of youth in ensuring safer roads for all.

GTU CRICKET TOURNAMENT 2026 INAUGURATION

The GTU Cricket Tournament 2026 was successfully inaugurated this morning at Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam, marking an energetic start to this much-anticipated sporting event.
The occasion was graced by the presence of all LVS Heads, whose encouragement and support added great value to the inauguration ceremony and motivated the participating teams. On this occasion, Dr. Basavaraj Patil, Director – LIT, warmly welcomed all dignitaries, officials, and participating teams, and extended his best wishes for a fair, disciplined, and spirited tournament.

UDAAN – THE KITE FESTIVAL 2026

Our campus came alive with vibrant skies and cheerful spirits as the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Laxmi Institute of Technology successfully organized Udaan – The Kite Festival 2026 at the LVS Football Ground.
Students enthusiastically participated and showcased their creativity and skills across exciting competition categories such as Highest Flying Kite, Best Fancy Kite, Longest Tail Kite, Biggest Kite, and Smallest Kite. The event beautifully reflected the joy of Uttarayan while fostering unity, enthusiasm, and healthy competition among students.

The NSS Unit of Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam successfully conducted the Smart Board Ideathon – Consumer Rights 2025, a rapid 20-second slogan writing competition, on 24th December at the LIT Seminar Hall.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who creatively expressed awareness and responsibility towards Consumer Rights using the smart board. The competition encouraged clarity of thought, quick expression, and social consciousness.

DE GHUMAKE SEASON-4

The Under-19 De Ghumake – Season 4 Cricket Tournament concluded successfully with thrilling final matches followed by a dignified valedictory ceremony, marking a proud and memorable culmination of the tournament.
Tournament Result:
PG Junior College, Bordi emerged as the Champions, securing a convincing victory by 7 wickets, while Sunrisers 11 finished as the Runners-Up. The winners and runners-up were felicitated with trophies and cash prizes (cheques) in recognition of their outstanding performances.
The valedictory function was graced by the esteemed presence of Honourable Trustee Shri. Vasantbhai Gajera, and our Chief Guest, Shri. Ramanlal Patkar, Hon’ble MLA, Umargam, whose presence added great dignity to the occasion. We were also honored by the presence of eminent personalities from our sponsors, APAR Industries Ltd. and Gujarat Properties, whose support played a vital role in the successful conduct of the tournament.

VISIT TO VENUE OF “JANJATIYA GAURAV RATH YATRA”

As part of the ongoing “Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Mahotsav” (November 1–15), commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, our students and staff of Laxmi Institute of Technology visited the nearby venue where the ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Rath Yatra’ is set to begin.

The Gujarat Government has launched this inspiring initiative under the leadership of Hon. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, covering 1,378 km across the state’s tribal regions — from Ambaji to Ekta Nagar and Umargam (Sarai) to Ekta Nagar. The Rath Yatra celebrates the glorious contribution of tribal communities in India’s nation-building journey and spreads awareness of their cultural heritage, courage, and resilience.

Eminent leaders including Shri Yogesh Vishwakarma, Shri K. C. Patel, Shri Dhaval Patel, and Shri Raman Patkar graced the occasion to mark the beginning of this historic journey. Our students and faculty were filled with pride and inspiration witnessing the spirit of unity, heritage, and progress that this Yatra represents.

MASS SINGING EVENT – “VANDE MATARAM”

On 7th November, our nation marks 150 years of “Vande Mataram” — a song that transcends time, inspiring generations with its spirit of devotion and patriotism. “Vande Mataram” is not just a song — it is a mantra, an energy, a dream, a resolve. It symbolizes our worship of Mother India, connects us to our glorious history, and fuels our courage to build a brighter future through knowledge, science, and technology.

The NSS Unit of Laxmi Institute of Technology proudly joined this national celebration by organizing a Mass Singing Event on 7th November 2025 at 11 A.M. Students and faculty came together in one voice to pay tribute to this timeless anthem that once ignited the flame of freedom — and continues to unite us in pride and purpose.

BOLLYWOOD DAY 2025

The campus transformed into a lively Bollywood set as students arrived dressed as their favorite film stars and iconic characters! From retro classics to modern superstars, the celebration was full of glamour, creativity, and filmy vibes. The event featured a dazzling ramp walk, where students showcased their style, expressions, and star presence just like true Bollywood celebrities. Adding a meaningful touch, students also performed short skits with strong social messages, blending entertainment with awareness and creativity. Fun continued with interactive games like guessing famous Bollywood movie names, which brought laughter, excitement, and friendly competition among participants. 

The event was wonderfully organized by Faculty Coordinator Ms. Kavita Joshi (HOD – IT) and her dedicated staff team, along with an enthusiastic group of Student Coordinators — Shrushti Gupta, Parth Kevat, Zaid Mulla, and Kasak Kamli.

The campus of Laxmi Institute of Technology was full of color, charm, and creativity today as we celebrated Group Day with great enthusiasm and excitement!
Students arrived in beautifully coordinated ethnic group outfits, showcasing unity and cultural elegance. From traditional themes to stylish coordination, every group added a vibrant touch to the celebration.
The energy peaked during the group ramp walk, where students confidently walked the stage with flair and teamwork. To make the day even more engaging, fun mini-games were organized, filling the atmosphere with joy and laughter.
One of the most delightful highlights was the participation of our faculty members, who took the stage and joined the ramp walk, earning cheers and applause from everyone! The event was smoothly organized under the guidance of our dedicated Faculty Coordinators — Tanvi Nayak, Tejal Vallabh, and Jaimin Dhimmar — and was excellently supported by an energetic team of Student Coordinators: Aditya Mourya, Bushra Mansuri, and Krisha Toliya.
To conclude the celebration on a high note, prizes were distributed to the winners by Prof. Amrat Patel (Principal) and Prof. Suchita Borkar (Head – Vocational Courses).

The campus of Laxmi Institute of Technology was filled with joy, colors, and cultural pride as we celebrated Traditional Day with great enthusiasm and energy! 
Students came dressed in their finest traditional attire, reflecting the rich heritage of our country. From graceful sarees and vibrant lehengas to elegant kurtas and sherwanis, the atmosphere radiated unity in diversity.
The event featured four exciting rounds that brought out creativity, knowledge, and talent:

The Departments of Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering turned the campus into a denim paradise as we celebrated Denim Day in a truly fun-filled and fashionable way!
From classic jeans to trendy jackets, our students rocked the denim vibes. The celebration wasn’t just about fashion—participants added excitement with fun games and an engaging twist where every participant was asked interesting GK questions, making the event both lively and interactive. 
The spotlight of the day was the stylish ramp walk at Dhwani Auditorium, where students walked the stage with confidence and flair, setting the mood with their denim style.
The gathering was graced by our Director, Dr. Basavaraj Patil, who addressed the students and wished them a joyful day. Our Principal, Prof. Amrat Patel, along with HoDs, faculty members, and students, joined the celebration and added to the cheerful atmosphere.

As part of the Engineers’ Day celebration, the NSS Unit of LIT, along with Valsad Raktadan Kendra, organized an engaging CPR Workshop to equip students and faculty with life-saving skills.
Huge applause to Dr. Abhishek Mistry from Valsad Raktadan Kendra for delivering an impactful training session. His expertise and passion inspired participants to understand the importance of timely CPR in saving lives.
The workshop was a perfect blend of education, awareness, and hands-on experience, preparing our community to act in emergencies with confidence.

In his address, he motivated the students with powerful words on the strength of willpower, reminding us that “the sky is not the limit” and that determination can lead to great achievements. His message was a beacon of encouragement for every young mind present.

The program commenced with the National Anthem, followed by the traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and inspiration. Dr. Basavaraj Patil, Director–LIT, welcomed the distinguished guests and participants with his encouraging address. The highlight of the event was an engaging Panel Discussion, where invited experts from industry and academia shared their perspectives on entrepreneurship and startup opportunities. Each panel member addressed thought-provoking questions related to new business ideas, problem-solving, and pathways for startup growth.
The session also included an interactive Q&A segment, where students enthusiastically raised questions about business challenges, opportunities, and strategies to convert ideas into successful ventures. Their active participation reflected a strong spirit of curiosity and innovation. Towards the end, a group photograph captured the memorable gathering, and students had the valuable opportunity to interact one-on-one with the experts, further clarifying their queries and gaining personalized guidance.
The program was coordinated by Prof. Suchita Borkar (Head–B.Voc/D.Voc) and her team, with dedicated support from all LIT Heads and staff members, ensuring smooth execution.

PLEDGE TAKING CEREMONY UNDER NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAN 2025

As a part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, our institution proudly organised a Pledge Taking Ceremony on 19th August 2025 to spread awareness and commitment towards a drug-free and healthy lifestyle.
The pledge was delivered through the college speaker system and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all departments. With sincerity and determination, our students took an oath to stay away from drugs, alcohol, tobacco and all kinds of harmful substances, and to inspire their friends and society to do the same. This meaningful initiative was organised by Prof. Kaushik Panara, LIT-NSS Coordinator, and his dedicated team, who worked diligently to ensure active participation and awareness.
This collective commitment reflects our determination to create a healthier, safer and more responsible young generation. Let us all stand together and continue promoting a Substance-Free India. 

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2025

We proudly celebrated the 79th Independence Day on our campus with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor.
The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony, conducted in the gracious presence of LVS heads, followed by the National Anthem that filled everyone’s hearts with pride. Our talented students showcased their love for the nation through patriotic songs and vibrant cultural performances, including traditional dances and group singing, which captured the spirit of unity and freedom.
Let us continue to uphold the legacy of our freedom fighters and contribute towards a strong, peaceful, and progressive India.

HAR GHAR TIRANGA QUIZ 2025

NSS – Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam proudly led the participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga Quiz 2025 organized by the Ministry of Culture and MyGov.
With hearts full of pride and voices echoing patriotism, around 90 spirited students came together to celebrate the glory of our nation and the tricolour. The event began with a vibrant discussion on the significance of the Indian national flag, followed by their enthusiastic participation in the online quiz.
Students eagerly answered questions, showcasing both knowledge and love for the motherland. The quiz not only tested their awareness but also strengthened their sense of unity, national pride, and respect for our Tiranga.
Every participant received an e-certificate, and the top 100 winners nationwide had the chance to win exciting prizes, including a ₹2,000 cash reward. Here are some glimpses of our proud LITians honouring the spirit of Independence Day through knowledge and patriotism!

NSS CLOTHES DONATION DRIVE

The NSS Unit of Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam successfully organized a Clothes Donation Drive to support underprivileged families in the Banjara Basti area, opposite Bhilad Railway Station, near Hanuman Temple.
In the days leading up to the event, NSS volunteers collected old clothes from various people, then carefully washed, ironed, and packed them neatly to ensure they were ready to be donated with dignity.
The drive saw the enthusiastic participation of 20 NSS volunteers, who dedicated their time and efforts with compassion and commitment. Our Director, Dr. Basavaraj Patil, addressed the volunteers with valuable guidance, inspiring them to actively engage in social service. We were honored by the presence of Mr. Kaustubh Arekar, Principal of Laxmi Global School, who served as the Chief Guest and motivated our volunteers to continue making a positive impact in society.
A special thanks to Mr. Rajesh Pavaskar, a renowned social worker, whose presence and encouraging words strengthened the spirit of community service among our students. We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shri R. N. Gohil for his unwavering support in all NSS and social activities at LIT, and to Prof. Dhaval Tandel and NSS Coordinator, Prof. Kaushik Panara for their constant encouragement throughout the event.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION 2025

International Yoga Day, celebrated every year on June 21, was initiated by India and officially recognized by the United Nations in 2014.
Over the past 4 days, Laxmi Institute of Technology organized a series of rejuvenating yoga sessions for faculty members, culminating in today’s final group practice. These sessions served not only as a physical activity but also as a step toward mindfulness and well-being.
The sessions were wonderfully coordinated by LIT-NSS Coordinator Prof. Kaushik Panara and his team, with Prof. Dhaval Tandel serving as the yoga instructor. The energy and enthusiasm shown by our faculty members truly reflect the spirit of wellness we aim to cultivate.
At LIT, we actively promote recreational and wellness activities for both students and staff — because a healthy campus is a happy campus!
