NSS Unit of Laxmi Institute of Technology successfully organized a 4-day Special Camp at Linga Village from 15th to 18th April 2026, dedicated to social responsibility, awareness, and meaningful community engagement. The journey began with great enthusiasm as volunteers departed from LIT with a strong spirit of service and patriotism. At Ashram Shala Primary School, a Digital Awareness Session was conducted to educate students about safe internet usage and cybersecurity, along with the distribution of notebooks, stationery kits, and water bottles to support their education. Promoting environmental responsibility, volunteers visited a Government Nursery, collected saplings, and created posters and slogans spreading the message of “Save Nature,” while tree plantation activities further contributed to sustainability. 

An insightful visit to PHC Saputara helped students understand rural healthcare systems, and the Dang Cultural Visit offered rich exposure to local traditions and heritage, including interaction at the King of Dang’s residence. Volunteers also conducted a door-to-door village survey to understand real challenges related to water, electricity, healthcare, roads, and education, and performed a powerful street play on “Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child,” spreading awareness among villagers. Activities like yoga sessions and trekking promoted fitness, discipline, teamwork, and leadership. The camp also featured valuable interactions with village representatives, digital service providers, and local guides, offering insights into governance, digital inclusion, and cultural heritage. The entire camp was efficiently organized under the guidance of faculty coordinators and institute leadership, and we extend heartfelt appreciation to all NSS volunteers for their dedication, teamwork, and commitment towards society and nation-building.
