INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO BALAJI WAFER PVT. LTD.

As a culminating activity of the Faculty Entrepreneurship Development Programme (FEDP), 80 faculty members from Laxmi Institute of Technology (LIT) along with other Laxmi Vidyapeeth faculty visited Balaji Wafers Pvt. Ltd., Valsad.
The group departed from LVS campus at 8:30 AM and reached the company by 9:30 AM, where they were given an insightful tour of the production facility. Participants gained valuable exposure to the real-world manufacturing process and business model of one of India’s most recognized snack food brands.
About Balaji Wafers Pvt. Ltd.: Founded in 1974 by the Virani brothers, Balaji Wafers has grown into one of Asia’s largest snack producers. 
This visit helped bridge academic understanding with industrial practices, supporting our mission to empower educators with entrepreneurial insights.

The festival was inaugurated by our esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Limesh Parekh, CEO of Enjay IT Solutions – a visionary entrepreneur and CRM evangelist.

We are thrilled to announce the successful inauguration of the Faculty Entrepreneurship Development Programme (FEDP) at Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam, in association with APITCO Limited, under the guidance of the Department of Science & Technology and Institution’s Innovation Council.
This 12-session FDP will train 35 selected faculty members on key aspects of Entrepreneurship, including: How to start a business, Government guidelines and schemes, Startup ecosystem and innovation strategies
After completing this program, our trained faculty will mentor students in the upcoming days, equipping them with essential entrepreneurial knowledge and skills.

Laxmi Institute of Technology is buzzing with enthusiasm as we progress through the Student of the Year contest!

VISIT TO IACE GANDHINAGAR AND SCIENCE CITY AHMEDABAD

Students from the Mechanical and Automobile Engineering departments recently had an enriching experience visiting the International Automobile Centre of Excellence (IACE) in Gandhinagar and Science City in Ahmedabad.

Exploring IACE provided them with valuable insights into cutting-edge automotive technologies and future industry trends. The visit to Science City sparked curiosity and deepened their understanding of scientific principles. Both destinations offered unique learning opportunities, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

The students are grateful for these experiences, which have expanded their horizons in the fields of automobile and mechanical engineering.

INDUSTRIAL EXPOSURE VISIT TO CASTING YARD BORIGAM AND VAPI BULLET TRAIN STATION

On January 16, 2025, our Civil Engineering students explored the Casting Yard at Borigam and the Vapi Bullet Train Station near Dungra as part of an Industrial Exposure Visit sponsored by BIS, Surat.
At the Casting Yard:
Students gained valuable insights into the Girder Casting Process, observed the Gantry Operation for lifting and placing girders, and learned about the overall yard management system. 
At the Vapi Bullet Train Station:
The visit provided an understanding of the beam construction, trench excavation, station plan and design, and foundation work. Students also witnessed the advanced seismic bearing system for earthquake resistance, along with innovative rooftop structures, sewage, and rainwater harvesting systems based on Japanese techniques. This prestigious project is part of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor (HSR), being executed under NHSRCL (National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited), aimed at revolutionizing rail connectivity between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

Code Unnati – SAP Center for Deep Tech, in collaboration with Business Counseling Cell (BCC) – LIT Sarigam, recently conducted an enriching hands-on training session aimed at equipping participants with essential skills in Python programming.
LIT-Sarigam successfully completed a comprehensive Python programming training exclusively for the students of CSE and IT. The session provided valuable insights into core Python concepts, enhancing students’ coding proficiency and problem-solving skills.
Our students actively engaged in practical challenges, from mastering basic syntax to exploring complex algorithms, showcasing remarkable enthusiasm and a solid grasp of the language.

EXPOSURE VISIT TO DOMS INDUSTRIES UMARGAM

LIT’s CSE and IT Department students had an enriching exposure visit, sponsored by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Surat Branch Office.
A group of 60 enthusiastic students, accompanied by Prof. Rohan Desai, Prof. Kavita Joshi, Prof. Vrunda Patel, and Prof. Pooja Bharti, visited DOMS Industries, Umargam, where they delved into the fascinating world of stationery product manufacturing.
Highlights of the visit included:
  • Production of wooden, polymer, and color pencils.
  • Insights into crafting drawing and mathematical instruments.
  • The process of making wax crayons and oil pastels.
This visit provided our students with a unique perspective on the meticulous processes and technology involved in creating everyday stationery products, inspiring creativity and curiosity.

Department of Electrical Engineering students had an incredible exposure visit on 20 December 2025, sponsored by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Surat Branch Office.
A group of 30 enthusiastic students, accompanied by Prof. Biraja Das, Prof. Rahul Jadav, and Prof. Liji Jose, visited APAR Industries in Umargam, where they gained hands-on insights into the fascinating process of cable manufacturing and related technologies.
This visit was a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications in the industry, broadening their horizons for future innovations.

FDP ON MACHINE LEARNING, COMPUTER VISION, IOT AND SAP ABAP

LIT is delighted to share the successful conclusion of 4-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Machine Learning, Computer Vision, IoT, and SAP ABAP, organized under the prestigious Code Unnati Initiative in association with SAP, Amul, and Edutech.
 
The program, held from 18th to 21st December 2024, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 33 faculty members, who gained valuable hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies. Participants received certificates upon successful completion of the program, and the event concluded with a memorable group photo session capturing the essence of learning and collaboration.

MINI ANVESHANA PROJECT COMPETITION 2024

We are thrilled to share the successful completion of the Mini Anveshana Project Competition, held on 17th October 2024 at Laxmi Institute of Technology, supported by Agastya International Foundation. 
From over 100+ entries, 26 innovative projects were shortlisted for the Mini Anveshana Round, and after much deliberation by our esteemed jury, the Top 10 projects were selected to move forward. Special thanks to our external jury member Mr. Rajendra Auti and internal jury members Mr. Vipul Patel and Mrs. Jitali Bhandari for their efforts in evaluating the projects. A special thanks to Ms. Ankita Rachh for her outstanding coordination of the event, ensuring everything ran smoothly and contributed to its success!
We are excited to announce that the Top 3 teams of the Mini Anveshana Round will be awarded cash prizes of ₹1000 each, encouraging our students to stay motivated for future rounds.

LIT is excited to share that Viva Composites Pvt. Ltd. visited our campus to conduct a placement drive for Degree Mechanical, Diploma Mechanical, and Computer Science Engineering (CSE) Degree students. The process included a well-rounded Pre-Placement Talk where students gained insights into the company, followed by an Aptitude Test that tested problem-solving skills. The day concluded with Technical and HR Interviews, where our students showcased their knowledge and passion.

PLACEMENT DRIVE OF IT IDOL TECHNOLOGIES

On October 3, 2024, we had the privilege of hosting a placement drive conducted by IT IDOL Technologies for our final-year students from B.E – Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), B.E – Information Technology (IT), and Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) programs. A total of 49 students participated in the drive, which comprised three rounds: Group Discussion (GD): Focused on communication and teamwork. Coding Test: Assessing programming concepts. HR Interview: Evaluating interpersonal skills and cultural fit.

We are thrilled to announce that 12 talented students were successfully selected and offered internships with a monthly stipend of ₹8,000! This is an excellent opportunity for them to gain hands-on industry experience and contribute to innovative projects at IT IDOL Technologies.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO TECHNO GEAR PRIVATE LIMITED

The Department of Automobile and Mechanical Engineering organized an insightful industrial visit on 20th September 2024 for our 5th and 7th semester students to Techno Gear Private Limited, Gundlav, Valsad. This visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world industrial processes, providing students with valuable exposure to gear manufacturing operations. The visit began with a warm welcome from Mr. Iswarbhai Rathod, HR Manager at Techno Gear, who gave an overview of the company’s background, their core focus on gear manufacturing, and its significant contributions to the industry. The insights provided set the stage for a more in-depth exploration of their cutting-edge production process.

This enriching experience left our students with a better understanding of how theoretical knowledge is applied in industrial settings and helped them appreciate the meticulous processes involved in high-quality gear manufacturing.

VIRTUAL PLACEMENT DRIVE OF CASEPOINT SURAT

The placement drive kicked off on the 2nd of September with an insightful Pre Placement Talk, followed by interviews. The second day, 3rd September, was dedicated to further interviews. We had the privilege of hosting 40 enthusiastic students from the CSE and IT departments who participated in this event. Casepoint is a leading U.S.-based SaaS technology company specializing in the legal industry. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, with an international subsidiary in Surat, Gujarat, Casepoint is at the forefront of innovation.

PLACEMENT DRIVE OF TECKNOTROVE SYSTEMS

On 30 August, Technotrove Systems, Asia’s largest manufacturer of training simulators and simulation solutions, conducted a placement drive for final-year students from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), and Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) programs. The drive, showcasing Technotrove’s expertise in advanced simulation technologies, saw enthusiastic participation from 51 students. After a rigorous technical written test and an IQ assessment, 17 students were shortlisted for the next stages, including a technical interview and an HR interview. Students who successfully clear these stages will be offered internships with a stipend, providing them with invaluable industry experience and the opportunity to contribute to Technotrove Systems’ innovative projects.

3-DAY TRAINING PROGRAM BY CENTER OF EXCELLENCE

LIT is excited to announce the successful completion of a 3-Day Training Program organized by the Center of Excellence – LIT, Sarigam in collaboration with EduNet and SAP – Code Unnati! This intensive training was specifically designed for our CSE and IT students to deepen their knowledge and skills in line with the latest industry trends. The training concluded with an eligibility test, and we are proud to say that many of our students successfully passed and are now eligible to enroll in advanced courses offered by SAP – Code Unnati.

VISIT TO KAKRAPAR ATOMIC POWER STATION

On 23rd August 2024, 50 students and 4 faculty members from the Department of Electrical Engineering had the incredible opportunity to visit the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station (KAPS), Surat. The visit began with a comprehensive explanation of the power production process through a working demo model, providing our students with valuable insights into nuclear power generation. Tour continued as we explored the cooling tower, reactor dome, transformer, switchyard, turbines, generator, and control unit. The hands-on experience allowed our students from both degree and diploma programs to witness the intricate processes behind power production.

SEMINAR ON CHANDRAYAAN 3

LIT had the privilege of hosting an inspiring seminar titled “Chandrayaan 3: India’s Giant Leap in Lunar Exploration,” delivered by Mr. Pragnesh D. Rathod, Education Officer ‘B’ at the District Science Centre, Dharampur. Over 730 students from Laxmi International School, Laxmi Global School, and Laxmi Institute of Technology attended, making the event a grand success! The seminar provided deep insights into Chandrayaan-3’s historic mission, including the soft landing on the Moon’s south pole, the lessons learned from Chandrayaan-2, and the valuable experiments conducted on the lunar surface. Adding to the excitement was a visit from a Science Mobile Vehicle, packed with fascinating exhibits and live demonstrations, offering students a hands-on experience with space science and technology.
