INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO TECHNO GEAR WORKS PVT. LTD.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering (Diploma), Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam, organised an insightful industrial visit on 19 September 2026 for 3rd and 5th Semester students to Techno Gear Works Pvt. Ltd., Gundlav, Valsad. The visit gave students valuable practical exposure to gear manufacturing and modern industrial production processes, helping them connect classroom concepts with real-world manufacturing practices.
Students witnessed key processes including:
• Raw material preparation
• Cutting & machining operations
• Gear hobbing & gear shaping
• CNC machining
• Heat treatment
• Finishing operations
• Gear profile inspection & quality control
• Packaging & dispatch
Students also interacted with industry professionals and gained insights into production flow, precision manufacturing, machine tools, quality standards, and industrial safety practices. The visit was organised and coordinated by Mr. Kaushik Panara, Lecturer – Mechanical Engineering, with faculty members ensuring the students’ safety, discipline, and active participation throughout the visit. 

TECHNICAL SEMINAR ON “A ROAD MAP FOR BUDDING CIVIL ENGINEERS”

The Department of Civil Engineering, Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam, successfully organised a technical seminar on “A Road Map for Budding Civil Engineers” on 17 September 2026.
The session was delivered by Mr. Thomas Sebastian, who shared valuable insights, practical guidance, and industry experience to help aspiring civil engineers understand career opportunities, professional growth, and the journey from classroom learning to the real world. The seminar encouraged students to build essential skills, gain practical knowledge, and prepare themselves for a successful career in Civil Engineering.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO SAI INDUSTRIES, PLASTIC ZONE, BHILAD

The Department of Electrical Engineering, Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam, organised an industrial visit to Sai Industries, Plastic Zone, Bhilad, a leading manufacturer of Flameproof and Weatherproof Equipment.
Students from Semesters 3, 5, and 7 gained valuable exposure to industrial manufacturing processes, electrical equipment, quality standards, and real-world applications of electrical engineering.
The visit was coordinated by Prof. Biraja Das and Prof. Samip Patel, providing students with an opportunity to connect classroom concepts with practical industrial experience.
Every industry visit is a step towards becoming a more skilled, confident, and industry-ready engineer. 

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO ULTRATECH CEMENT RMC PLANT, TUMB

The Department of Civil Engineering, Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam successfully organized an Industrial Visit to the UltraTech Cement RMC Plant, Tumb, giving our Civil Engineering students valuable exposure to real-world Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) production and plant operations.
Our students, accompanied by faculty members, explored the practical aspects of concrete production, quality control, batching, and industry practices.
A day of observing, learning, experiencing, and connecting classroom concepts with the real world!

IPDC ORIENTATION SEMINAR 2026 – VALUE-BASED DEVELOPMENT FOR YOUTH

As part of our continuous commitment to nurturing value-based education and holistic development, an insightful IPDC Orientation Seminar was successfully conducted today for our Diploma and Degree Engineering students.
The session aimed to familiarize students with the vision, structure, and significance of the IPDC curriculum, while motivating them to actively engage in their personal and professional growth journey. The seminar emphasized the importance of values, character building, and personality development in shaping responsible and successful individuals.
We were privileged to have Mr. Harikrishna Gohil, an experienced academician and expert speaker, as the resource person for the session. With over 19 years of teaching experience, he is currently serving as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering and has delivered numerous expert lectures, faculty development programs, and student seminars across prestigious institutions.
His engaging delivery, practical insights, and motivational approach left a lasting impact on the students, encouraging them to adopt a value-driven approach in both their academic and personal lives.
The session was effectively coordinated by Prof. Amrat Patel, Principal (Diploma).
Dr. Basavaraj Patil, Director, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed speaker and the IPDC team. The session proved to be highly enriching and inspiring, reinforcing our institute’s mission to develop not just skilled engineers, but also responsible and value-oriented citizens.
