About Department
The advancements in microelectronics, satellite and optical fibre technology, analog, and digital communication techniques have resulted in complex electronic devices, circuits, and equipment capable of implementing fast and efficient telecommunication systems. Penetration of electronics & communication has now revolutionized other areas like healthcare, instrumentation, automation, remote sensing, signal processing etc. The department offers a degree course in Electronics & Communication Engg. The department is equipped with the most advanced laboratories to give practical training to the students in emerging areas. The department offers expertise to the students backed by audiovisual teaching aids. Multimedia CDs on various technical subjects, industrial training facility, and industry institute interface are made available to the students. The additional seminars, workshops, and training through the industrial collaboration have taken the department to great heights.
ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING - LABORATORY
Electronic Devices & Circuits Lab
This laboratory is established for performing laboratory exercises and the mini projects for subjects like Basics of Electronics, Electronic Devices & Circuits, Power Electronics and Analog Circuits. It is well equipped with the sufficient numbers of digital storage oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, multi-meters and electronic devices and circuits trainer boards and kits with peripherals.
Simulation Lab
This laboratory is intended for performing laboratory exercises for subjects like Digital Electronics, Microprocessor & Micro-controllers. It is equipped with High-end computers installed with latest software required for simulation. This laboratory also includes open source software like SCILAB, ESim, WireShark, LaTex, Diaetc which are developed by IIT Bombay and other organizations.
Digital & Microprocessor Lab
This laboratory is intended for performing laboratory exercises for subjects like Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Embedded Systems. It is equipped with Digital Electronics Trainer Boards, Microprocessor & Micro-controllers System Kits with peripherals. It has support for doing projects based on Embedded Systems.
Communication Systems Lab
This Laboratory is useful to understand the basic theories of Communication system. They are basically Analog Communication, Digital Communication, Wireless Communication/ Advanced Communication, Microwave and Optical Fibre Communication.
- Analog Communication trainers like DSB/SSM transmitter/ receiver, FM modulator/ De-modulator, FDM trainer etc., are available to understand the fundamentals.
- Students can also learn the concepts of Digital Communication using various trainer boards as well as simulation.
- It is also equipped with advanced communication system including Mobile phone trainer, CDMA, GSM, Bluetooth technology, Wireless ISP CPE etc.
- Microwave test bench is also available for understanding various signal Propagation Mode.
- Antenna Trainer kit is equipped with various types of antennas for their radiation pattern and frequency response analysis.
Project Lab
This laboratory is intended for simulation and hardware based project work of Final year students. This Laboratory is equipped with hardware like Arduino Boards, Raspberry Pi Boards, WiFi modules, camera Modules, Bluetooth modules and other peripherals for making project using boards.

ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING EVENTS
INDUSTRIAL TOUR BSNL, VALSAD
Electronics and Communication Engineering Department had organized an Industrial Visit at BSNL Valsad SSA Exchange on 25th January 2018. The motive of the visit was to gain practical knowledge about industrial aspects in wired and wireless communication architectures. Total 14 students of Electronics and Communication Engineering along with two faculties attended.
A TWO-DAY WORKSHOP ON "ROBOTIC ARM DESIGN"
A two-day Workshop on “Robotic Arm Design” was organised by ECE Department, LIT, Sarigam in collaboration with IETE, PAC SARIGAM on 10th – 11th October, 2017.
Robotic Arm is a new revolution of the robots. A robotic arm is a type of mechanical arm, usually programmable, with similar functions to a human arm; the arm may be the sum total of the mechanism or may be part of a more complex robot.
WORKSHOP ON "NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING SCHEME NATIONAL WEB PORTAL"
A Workshop on “National Apprenticeship Training Scheme National Web Portal” was organized by Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam. in coordination with BOAT (WR), Mumbai on September 6, 2017.

TWO DAY WORKSHOP ON INTERNET OF THINGS
A two-day Workshop on “Internet of Things” was organised by ECE Department, LIT, Sarigam in collaboration with IETE, Professional Activity Center Sarigam on 22 and 23 August, 2017.

TWO DAYS WORKSHOP ON LABVIEW AND ITS APPLICATIONS IN INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering , Laxmi Institute of Technology ,Sarigam in association with IETE Professional Activity Centre, Sarigam conducted a two days workshop on LabVIEW and Its Applications in Instrumentation & Control on the 11th July, 2017 and 13th July, 2017 for the students of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology and MCA.
The sessions were delivered by Mr. Manoj Kumar, junior Engineer UGC-DAE Consortium for Scientific Research (An Autonomous Institution of University Grants Commission, New Delhi) Indore Centre.
WORKSHOP ON ARDUINO AND ITS APPLICATIONS
