MECHANICAL ENGINEERING EVENTS
SEMINAR ON “INTRODUCTION TO CAD USING REVERSE ENGINEERING”
The Mechanical Engineering Department of LIT had organized the seminar on the topic of Hands on training on 3-D Printer for Mechanical Engineering(Degree & Diploma), Automobile Engineering and faculties on 28th August 2017. The distinguished speaker was Mr. Samarth.
The session was started by Mr. Samarth (Associate Engineer Services). He demonstrated the working of 3D printing and its application. Various models were demonstrated which were made with the help of 3D printing tool. Mechanical 3D model was created with the tool and made us understand that how easy and fast the product is manufactured. He also showed a keynote of 3D printing pen. The session was interactive as it took us to the new manufacturing level in industries. It also showed that in future, day to day product can be easily printed just like the printing machine which we use today for example cover of phones, bones of human etc.

CAREER AWARENESS PROGRAM BY STERN LANGUAGE INSTITUTE
The Mechanical Engineering Department of LIT had organized the career awareness program for Final year students of Degree & Diploma and faculties on 28th September 2017. The Lecture was delivered by our invited guest speaker Mr. Hiren. About 100 students of Laxmi Institute of Technology were benefitted from the expert talk. The session was started with floral welcome of Mr. Hiren by our Prof. Mr. Parikshit Patel (HOD Mechanical)
GUEST LECTURE
The guest lecture on the topic of “Joys of being a Production Engineer” by Mr. Pralhad V Dabholkar, MD – Tucson Hydro-controls Pvt. Ltd., Umbergaon was organized in the Department of Mechanical Engineering on 07/02/2017 Tuesday for the final year students.
The lecture has covered topics on challenges faced and opportunities available for Production Engineer which was thoroughly enjoyed by students and staff.
DIGITALISATION OF MANUFACTURING
The event Digitalisation of Manufacturing held on 28/09/2016 organised by Mechanical Engineering Department, LIT. The event showcased capabilities of Solidworks software and 3D Printer.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO KRISTEEL SHINWA (SILVASSA)
LIT Diploma Engineering had organized an Industrial Visit on 2nd, November, 2018 at Kristeel Shinwa,Silvassa for Diploma mechanical engineering 1 semester students to get them acquainted with manufacturing process (Measuring Instruments, Engineering Gauges, Wood Working Tools, Jewellery Tools, Marking Tools Kits, Textile Machinery, Press Parts, SMT Stencils)

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO BLUE STAR LIMITED,DADAR AND NAGAR HAVELI
Department of Mechanical Engineering (Diploma) – 3rd Semester students visited BLUE STAR LIMITED on 10/10/2018, in Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
Students get acquainted with the manufacturing process of room air conditioners, Air purifiers, air coolers, water coolers, central air conditioning, commercial Refrigeration, and cold storages. Prof. Kaushik Panara has organized the visit, Prof. Mahipalsinh Parmar & Prof. Kartavya Sagar coordinated through the visit.
HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE FOR DIP-MECHANICAL FACULTIES TO NANDRATAN FOUNDRY & ENGINEERING WORKS
LIT Diploma Engineering had organized an Industrial Visit on 28th September 2018 at NARFEW (Nandratan Foundry & Engg. Works Pvt. Ltd.), GIDC, Sarigam for Diploma Mechanical engineering Faculty. The visit was to get faculty acquainted with the manufacturing process (Sand Casting, Die-Casting), Electric Furnace, Water Testing process for leakage, Two pieces & gated pattern, Cope and Drag Pattern. They had hands-on experience on Machining process after the casting process.
INDUSTRY VISIT NHB BALL & ROLLER LTD.
Students of Mechanical Engineering- Diploma Visited NHB Ball & Roller Ltd. on 13/3/2018 and 14/3/2018. Students learned about the procedures followed in the manufacturing and much more which helped them to bridge the gap between classrooms to corporate.
AN EXPERT LECTURE ON “INTRODUCTION AND AWARENESS TO NUCLEAR POWER PLANT”
The department of Diploma Mechanical Engineering, Laxmi Institute of TechnologySarigam, in association with the student chapter of The Institute of Engineers India (IEI) has organized an Expert lecture titled “Introduction and Awareness to Nuclear Power Plant” on 23rd August 2017 at Dhwani-LVS. The expert lecture targets about the awareness of Nuclear power plant and Radioactivity to the students in the field of Nuclear Power.
The sessions were delivered by two distinguished speakers Shri. Jaison T John, Scientific officer, Kakrapar and Shri. Kamal D Joshi from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, NPCIL, Kakrapar
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO NANDRATAN FOUNDRY & ENGG. WORKS PVT. LTD.
LIT Diploma Engineering had organized an Industrial Visit on 28th September, 2016 at NARFEW (Nandratan Foundry & Engg. Works Pvt. The Sarigam LIT Students Chapter of the Institution of Engineers (India) organized an awareness programme on Nuclear Power in the Auditorium of Laxmi Institute of Technology. The program was organized by the Sarigam LIT Students chapter of the institution of engineers (India) in association with NUCLEAR POWER CORPORATION OF INDIA LIMITED, A Government of India Enterprise. The sessions were delivered by two distinguished speakers Mr. Ajit Kumar, Senior Commissioning Engineer, NPCIL and Mr. D.P. Nankar from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. About 300 students of Laxmi Institute of Technology were benefitted from the workshop. The session was inaugurated by lightening of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana followed by an Inaugural speech by Prof. Amrat Patel, Principal, LIT Sarigam. The speakers alternatively delivered their talks on various topics like Process of Nuclear Power Generation, Indian Nuclear Power Programme, Radiation- A fact of Life, DAE Societal Benefits and so on. The sessions were interactive and at the end of each session questions from audience were addressed. And finally the session ended with a vote of thanks from Mr. Jigar Patel.
FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ON CORPORATE ETHICS
A faculty development program was organized on 19th March 2016 for the faculties of Diploma Engineering of Laxmi Institute of Technology, Sarigam. Mrs. Janaki Rao was the tainer of the session who is having experience of training the executives of various corporate in the field of personality development, team building, capacity building, spoken english, etc. The session started with an introductory note By the Principal Prof. Amrat Patel. There were 30 participants in the program and the overall feedback of the program is overwhelming
ENERGY CONSERVATION AWARENESS WORKSHOP
The Sarigam LIT Polytechnic Students Chapter of the Institution of Engineers (India) organized a one day workshop on Energy conservation awareness in the Auditorium of Laxmi Institute of Technology. The program was organized by the Sarigam LIT Polytechnic Students chapter of the institution of engineers (India) in association with Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) a Govt. of Gujarat Organization. The sessions were delivered by two distinguished speakers Mr. Jitendra N Vyas and Mr. Sachin Deshpandey from ARS Energy Auditiors, Virar, Mumbai. They are the Authorised Trining Providers and Consultants to GEDA. About 120 students of Polytechnic Wing of Laxmi Institute of Technology were benefitted from the workshop. The program was organized by Mr. Pulok Ranjan Mohanta, Adviser to The Sarigam LIT Polytechnic Students Chapter. The session was inaugurated by lightening of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana followed by an Inaugural speech by Prof. Amrat Patel, Principal, LIT Sarigam. The speakers alternatively delivered their talks on various topics like Energy Conservation and its need in the present day context, Systems Approach, Energy Audit etc. They also highlighted to the energy conservation opportunities in various industrial and domestic equipments and the opportunity the renewable energy sector have. The sessions were interactive and last session was reserved for questioners. And finally the session ended with a vote of thanks from the organizer Mr. Pulok Ranjan Mohanta.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO ADANI POWER PLANT
Department of Degree Mechanical Engineering organized an industrial visit to Adani Power Plant for 7th sem students on 13th Aug 2019. Students explored the working mechanism of the thermal power plant.
AUTOCAD AWARENESS PROGRAM
The Mechanical Engineering Department of LIT had organized the CAD Awareness program by CADD center Valsad for the students of Mechanical Engineering (Degree & Diploma), Automobile Engineering and faculties On 16th January 2018.

Mr. Prathmesh Trivedi, manager Gujarat regions has delivered his speech about personality development, soft skill and hard skill. He also explains the different between soft and hard skill to the students. After this session Mr. Hardik Patel deliver the technical session of Auto Cad.
VISIT TO SURAT INTERNATIONAL AUTO EXPO 2024
EXPERT LECTURE ON INDIAN RAILWAY
The Mechanical Engineering Department of LIT had organized the Expert lecture on Indian Locomotive by Mr. K Pandey, retired mechanical Officer of Indian railway for the students of Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering faculties On 26th February 2018
Mr. K Pandey had deliver his experience of Indian railway to students .he also deliver different engine and system of Indian locomotive, he also encourage students for the joining of Indian railway.
FDP ON FUSION 360
The Mechanical Engineering Department of LIT had organized the faculty development program on fusion 360 by SAI CAD center for the faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering (Degree & Diploma) On 6th &7th April 2018.
The session was started with floral welcome of Mr. Setu Nandaniya (Branch Manager), Mr. Vijay Panchal (Marketing head) and team by Mr. Parikshit K. Patel (HOD Of MED, LIT). Mr. Vijay Panchal, Marketing head has delivered his speech about important of Autodesk and about the fusion 360 software. Mr. Setu Nandaniya has started his session which was divided in three sessions.
SEMINAR ON SKILL DEVELOPMENT IN WORKERS BY JSW
The seminar was held on 25th August 2021, at the Mechanical Seminar hall of our institute. The seminar was attended by around 20 participants, from the industry professionals. The seminar was conducted in two sessions and covered various topics related to skill development in workers.

SEMINAR ON TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT
The Mechanical Department of LIT organized one day seminar on the topic Total Quality Management on February 4, 2019. Four esteem speakers join us on this event to make it a grant success, Dr Tushar N. Desai, Dr V.D. Kalyankar and Dr Dinesh Singh joined us. About 300 faculties and students participated in the event and gained out of it.
About Speakers:
Dr Tushar N. Desai (Professor) from VNSGU Surat talked about 5S, TQM and process control chart
Dr V.D. Kalyankar (Assistant Professor) from SVNIT Surat talked about advanced optimization techniques.
Dr Dinesh Singh (Assistant Professor) from SVNIT Surat talked about Decision making in industrial environment.
INDUSTRIAL TOUR
An industrial tour was organized for 73 students and 5 faculty members from our institute. The tour covered four cities: Shimla, Manali, Delhi, and Agra. The purpose of the tour was to provide practical exposure to the students and help them understand the real-world operations of industries.
Tour Details:
The tour was conducted from 7th October 2022 to 12th October 2022. The students and faculty members were accompanied by two tour guides who assisted them throughout the tour. The tour was conducted by bus and covered a distance of approximately 1800 km.

SUPERHARD PRE-PLACEMENT TALK
The Mechanical Engineering Department of LIT had organized the pre-placement talk for Mechanical Engineering (Degree & Diploma) students on 16th March 2022. The distinguished speaker was Mr. Nitin Gajera & Dr. Sushmita Dey.
The session was started with felicitation of Ms. Kinjal Gajera, Mr. Nitin Gajera, Mr. Rajiv Mehra, Ms. Sushmita Dey & Vivek Nagor. First of all, our trustee Ms. Kinjal Gajera has given description about the Diamond industry.

WORKSHOP ON FIRE AND SAFETY
With an objective to create awareness about fire safety and the usage of fire extinguishing equipment, a Fire Safety Awareness Programme was conducted at Laxmi Institute of Technology in collaboration with Durga fire and safety consultant on June 27th, 2019. The programme aimed at making the employees as well as students of the Institute mindful about fire hazards and the safety measures which can be taken during fire emergency.
